Kim May
Prior to joining CASL in 2021, Kim was a Senior Litigation Manager with Litigation Lending Services (LLS) for approximately 12 years. Whilst at LLS Kim worked on a broad range of commercial, insolvency and class action matters, undertaking origination, due diligence and strategic case management.
Kim is proud to have managed the Stolen Wages QLD class action (Hans Pearson v State of QLD), which concluded with a settlement in 2019, and was acknowledged as the largest human rights settlement in Australian legal history at the time.
Kim graduated from the University of NSW in 1997 with Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Bachelor of Laws degrees, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Following admission, Kim practised primarily in insurance litigation on both the plaintiff and defendant side, including several years at HWL Ebsworth (formerly Ebsworth & Ebsworth) in the Transport group where she worked on the long-running DVT class action litigation.
